The paediatrician ensures the proper development and health of infants, children and adolescents.
It monitors children born at full term (monthly check-ups, vaccinations, psychomotor development) and premature or post-mature babies (low weight, blood problems, respiratory problems). He also treats all childhood illnesses: fever, chicken pox, rhinopharyngitis, angina, measles, bronchitis, mumps, otitis, etc.
