It is equipped with facilities allowing people with various disabilities to enjoy the pleasures of the seaside and swimming.

These include reserved parking spaces, mats for access to the sea, chairs for getting into the water (tiralo and hippocampus), as well as showers and toilets adapted for them.
There are also "handiplagists", i.e. staff trained to welcome disabled people.

These facilities are in place from April to September, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm (under green flag only).

In July and August, the Portissol beach hosts the underwater trail.
To take advantage of it, do not hesitate to contact the Sanary Tourist Office to register.

At the city council meeting of February 25, 2015, the municipality has committed to the certification of the management of bathing water quality to ensure the sanitary conditions of bathing for beach users.

Following the first audit conducted in July 2015, confirmed by the 2016 audit, the commune obtained its certification for bathing water quality management.
"The five bathing areas of Sanary-sur-Mer are subject to regular monitoring from April to September by the Regional Health Agency (Official website: https://baignades.sante.gouv.fr/editorial/fr/accueil.html).
