Overview

The frescoes in the church of Saint Nazaire respond to the desire to offer an iconography in the service of the Christian mystery to rediscover the beauty of the faith.

This iconography is a continuity, an emanation of the building itself. Michel Pacha had wanted an architecture inspired by the novel, with a Byzantine structure. In this spirit, Jean-Baptiste Garrigou, iconographer, literally "listened to the walls" to create a unique work, totally original, so well integrated that one can easily imagine that it has always been there.
