The "L'Olivier de mon village" exhibition is an invitation to take an enchanting stroll through the olive groves of the Var, for lovers of nature, Provencal culture and, of course, the olive tree.
Found throughout the Mediterranean region, where it is traditionally grown in terraces alongside vines or wheat, the olive tree is the embodiment of the typical Provençal landscape in France. The Var is at the heart of this landscape, where the olive tree has left its mark on people's memories.
This exhibition invites you to explore the Var's olive-growing heritage by visiting our variety conservatory and discovering the history and olive-growing culture of Sanary-sur-Mer and ten emblematic villages.
