Overview

Régine Vimont-Payan and Margot Notenboom present their works at Maison Flotte from August 10 to 21, 2024.

Régine Vimont-Payan's sculptures celebrate moments in life through the look, attitude, feeling or movement of her figures and animals. Each of her sculptures is a story. Sometimes abstract in form, her terracotta follows her gesture, allowing volumes to emerge. "The primary spirit of my creations is to preserve simplicity, to go to the essential. With patinated, smoked, raku or raku-nu finishes, each piece gives free rein to your imagination.

Margot Notenboom's main inspiration comes from the landscapes and countries she has lived in or visited. Her vision is different and varied, as she searches for perspectives and colors. "I paint a canvas as an invitation to discover, to travel. Through my creations, I seek to retranscribe an atmosphere, a feeling of plenitude, a sensation of space". Margot works in acrylic, often in large format on linen canvas, and sometimes adds matter.
