La Virée de Saint-Nazaire 2026 will take place in Sanary-sur-Mer from 22 to 25 May 2026. This unmissable event offers four days of festivities in the harbour and around Sanary Bay.
FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2026
All day: Arrival and reception of crews in the bay of Sanary-sur-Mer. Mooring formalities at the docks.
SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2026
Starting at 8 a.m.: Arrival and welcome of the final crews at the port of Sanary-sur-Mer.
9 a.m.: Opening of the artisans’ village on the docks.
9 a.m.: Opening of the French Navy and A.P.S. (Association des Pointus de Sanary) knot-tying booth.
10 a.m.: Start of the Virée.
10 a.m.: Drone demonstration and diving exhibition at Pier 5.
11 a.m.: Parade by the French Navy BAGAD and choir in front of the Church of Sanary
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: “Immediate Embarkation” event hosted by the A.P.S. (Association des Pointus de Sanary).
3 p.m.: Diving demonstration at Pier 5.
3:30 PM: Parade by the French Navy BAGAD and choir in front of the Sanary church.
SUNDAY, MAY 24, 2026
9:00 AM: Opening of the artisans’ village on the docks.
10:00 AM: Start of the Virée.
2:30 PM to 4:30 PM: “Immediate Embarkation” event presented by the A.P.S. (Association des Pointus de Sanary).
3:30 PM: La Coustiero Flourido folk group.
6:30 PM: Presentation of the PMF AXA-NSA Maritime Heritage Award (at the Lighthouse Pier).
MONDAY, MAY 25, 2026
9:00 a.m.: Opening of the artisans’ village on the docks.
10:30 a.m.: Pirate attack on Sanary.
10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Activities on the docks.
Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, afternoons starting at 2:00 PM: Free tours at the Phoenix Tall Ship dock—a 1929 brig.
