Painting and sculpture exhibition by Xavier Alvarez & Jean-Luc Le Hunsec.
XAVIER ALVAREZ, a contemporary sculptor, began his artistic career working with steel at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, before developing a passion for bronze. Initially exploring abstract forms, Alvarez then turned to creating sculptures characterized by their full, generous shapes, emphasizing curves and roundness. His favorite themes are the female body, couples, and animals, simplified to their essential lines.
JEAN-PIERRE LE HUNSEC loves both sailing and the magic of nature. He can't help but give his works that little touch of dreaminess that makes all the colors of life burst into flame. He works with watercolors, oils, dry and oil pastels on Arches paper. Far from any academic training, he invents his own techniques by multiplying layers and manages to give this effect of texture while maintaining transparency and luminosity. His approach to painting allows him to cover very large surfaces, between the figurative and the abstract.
