Exhibition: “Three Sanary Women at Work” by artists: CÉLOU - MARTINE BARRA–MAGGIO - LAURENCE LENDERS
After an intense and exciting professional life, CÉLOU happily discovered the art of painting.
This new passion allowed her to express herself in a different way. Over time, her works came to life with themes such as: ‘Still lifes revisited’, ‘floral art’ and ‘a few abstract paintings’.
A painter from Sanary, passionate about the colours and light that nature offers us. MARTINE BARRA–MAGGIO likes to paint what moves her: a landscape, an emotion, a moment suspended in time. Her style is free, inspired by nature and sometimes with a touch of humour. Each canvas is an adventure, often guided by intuition and great emotion.
LAURENCE LENDERS is self-taught. Her passion for modelling is born in the silence of her hands. When she touches the material, she does not feel that her fingers are working, but rather a deeper part of herself. Little by little, facial features emerge from the clay. These heads appear, without a model, with their own expressions and imaginary stories. This movement remains instinctive, a feeling of calm and pure creation.
