GENEVIÈVE CANTO discovered her passion for drawing and painting at a very young age, a passion that was reinforced by her decisive encounter with Salvador Dalí, whose pupil she became during the summers of 1968 and 1969.
Trained by great masters and exposed to the visual arts in Perpignan, Aix-en-Provence, Strasbourg, and Paris, she has developed a unique pictorial language, thanks in particular to her mastery of trompe-l'œil. Her work explores the ambivalence of human emotions.
