Gilbert Bécaud, a legend with 650 songs covered by Sinatra or Elvis, would celebrate his centenary in 2027. A pioneer of French music nicknamed "Mr. 100,000 Volts," he is now being honored on stage by Jules Grison.
Gilbert Bécaud is one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, with a career spanning nearly 50 years and over 650 songs. The audience's very first idol... even before the Beatles. His songs became standards in the United States, Canada, Russia, and beyond.
In 2027, we will celebrate the centenary of Gilbert Bécaud, a major figure in French music whose songs were covered by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Bob Dylan.
And now ("Et Maintenant"), it is Jules Grison's turn to pay tribute to "Mr. 100,000 Volts."
