Set in 1950s Paris, Douce France follows two childhood friends reunited by their love for French song. Created by Gil Marsalla, this show pays tribute to great poets like Brel, Aznavour, and Trenet, who marked music forever.
In the streets of Ménilmontant in Paris in 1950, Douce France tells the story of François, a waiter in a Parisian café, and Jef, his childhood friend returning from a long journey. They reunite over a shared passion: the love of French song.
In this new show, Gil Marsalla highlights the rich era of great songsmiths such as Maurice Chevalier, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg, and Gilbert Bécaud—musical poets who left their mark on the entire world.

Free nearby parking: Shows at the Théâtre Galli and the Petit Galli: The Esplanade car park, located at Sanary harbor, is free from 8:00 AM to 1:30 AM upon presentation of an admission ticket. For each show, a car park exit ticket will be given to you by the security guards at the Theatre.
