Overview

With "Après la Chute", Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault present a choreographic fresco on human resilience, a journey from chaos to light.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 opens the piece with the collapse of the world. Its tragic pulse expresses an unbalanced humanity, confronted with loss and the crumbling of its reference points. Then comes Ravel’s Boléro: an obstinate rhythm, carrying a new momentum. It is the reconstruction of the world. Between collapse and rebirth, "Après la Chute" tells the story of the human being's ability to rise again.
